Public Health England now recommend strength training in addition to cardiovascular training

It's great to see that Public Health England have recently updated their advice for healthy living to include developing strength, as well as just developing cardiovascular fitness.

The guidance is now that adults should do:

  • At least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, every week AND
  • Strength exercises on two or more days a week that will work all the major muscles.

The good news is that all my classes develop both strength and cardiovascular fitness!
